B Grade Pairs Final Tribute at Burleigh Bowls (dragons)
Last Saturday’s B Grade Pairs Final was more than just a game of bowls. Amidst the excitement, the event took a poignant turn with the passing of Tez, leaving a void in the hearts of family, friends, and BHBC members.
Despite the somber note, the spirit of the game prevailed as Peter Zaouk stepped in admirably for Tez in the final. Congratulations to Damo and Drew for their victory in the final match with a score of 22-16 🥇
Tomorrow, the community will pay tribute to Terry Franke at Burleigh Uniting Church with a funeral service at 1 pm. Attendees are requested to wear smart attire, followed by a celebration of Terry’s life at the club post-service 🍷
As we honour Terry’s memory, let us cherish the camaraderie and sportsmanship that he embodied on and off the green. Rest in peace, Terry ❤️
